The Radio Telephony Restricted (Aeronautical) license – issued by the Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) Wing – permits Air Crew and Engineers to use the necessary wireless equipment in order to communicate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) or ground stations.
Students will develop a general understanding of radio transmissions, equipment, and their usage as well as the procedures to be followed in the event of a radio communication failure. They will also learn how to pronounce words using phonetic pronunciation, use standard radiotelephony phraseology, communicate effectively, and understand aviation jargon in a variety of normal and unusual situations.
RTR (A) Section 1: (100 Marks- 25 Mins).
Respond to five questions based on potential routine and emergency situations that may occur when handling an A/C.

RTR (A) Part-2: (Viva) 100 Marks.
RTR Part 2 consists of an oral test.
Members of the DGCA, and WPC officials administer the test, which covers a range of topics related to aviation radio communication.
